Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password (stored in encrypted form).

Business Data: Information you enter into CrewBoss, including customer records, job details, invoices, estimates, crew information, equipment records, expenses, and financial data. This data belongs to you.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send administrative messages, updates, and security alerts
• Respond to your requests and support inquiries
• Power AI features within the Service (your business data is used only to serve your account — never shared with other customers or used to train AI models)

4. Data Isolation and Multi-Tenancy

CrewBoss uses a multi-tenant architecture with strict data isolation. Each company's data is separated using company-level access controls enforced at the database level (Row Level Security). Your business data is never accessible to other customers.

5. AI and Data Processing

CrewBoss includes AI-powered features (such as the business assistant chatbot) that process your business data to provide insights and answer questions. This processing:

• Occurs only within the context of your account
• Uses third-party AI services (OpenAI) to generate responses
• Does not store conversation data beyond the active session
• Never uses your data to train AI models

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or business data with third parties, except:

• Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (Supabase for hosting, Stripe for payments, OpenAI for AI features) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Row Level Security (RLS) at the database level
• Secure authentication with encrypted password storage
